The 4th Workshop of EFEF JIP was organised in Pusan, Korea between 16th and 17th September 2010. The aim of the meeting was to review the progress of the project concerning fire and explosion design of FPSO.

The following subjects were discussed during the workshop:

• nonlinear structural analysis methods under explosion and fire
• probabilistic methods for structural design under explosion and fire
• structural failure of blast walls under explosion – experimental studies
• automated interaction between CFD and LS-DYNA

The workshop was carried out in connection with the "Risk Based Design of Offshore Installations Under Hydrocarbin Explosion and Fire" conference, organised by PNU.
